TJ Asian Bistro is doing something a lot of restaurants attempt and few actually pull off: running sushi, noodle dishes, and Thai food on the same menu without any of it feeling like an afterthought. This isn't a sushi place that also has a pad thai on the menu for the sake of it. Every lane is fully realized.
The specialty rolls are the standout. The Taos roll, the Angel Fire roll, and the Mafia roll all made it to the table, and each one had its own identity, distinct enough that ordering three didn't feel repetitive the way it can at places leaning on the same base ingredients dressed up differently. The presentation matched the effort: clean, deliberate plating that made it clear the kitchen cares about how the food looks going out, not just how it tastes.
The drunken noodles held their own right alongside the rolls, which is its own kind of achievement. It's easy for a menu this wide to spread itself thin, but the Thai side didn't taste like an afterthought bolted onto a sushi menu. It tasted like a kitchen that actually knows both cuisines.
We ordered enough to feel ambitious about it and still didn't finish, which meant lunch was solved the next day too. Service was fast without ever feeling rushed, and the pricing was fair for the quality and portion size, no premium tax for the variety on offer.
