The simple breakfast here is anything but. Scrambled eggs with green chile, a side that pulls no punches, all served in a room that does a lot of the work before the food even arrives: real charm, real decor, the kind of place that feels distinctly Taos rather than styled to look that way.
What stands out most is how consistent it is. Savory, bold, and local, local, local, in the ingredients and in the feel of the place. That's not a small thing: when a menu leans this hard on "local," you start paying attention to whether it actually shows up on the plate, and here it does, visit after visit. Thank you to the kitchen for that.
The turmeric latte with honey has become a standing order, not a one-time novelty. The retail side (local ice cream, local goods) is genuinely unique rather than the usual gift-shop filler, worth a browse even outside of a meal.
