5 Star Burgers

Never actually ordered a burger here, despite the name. The ribs are the order, every time, and they're good enough to make that a non-issue. Messy in the right way, with a sauce that's genuinely amazing, and a portion size that doesn't cut corners. The fries are excellent. The coleslaw is excellent. On the ribs alone, this is a five-star plate.

Then there's the mac and cheese. It's the boxed stuff, the kind you'd make at home in ten minutes, and it's hard to overstate how much that undercuts everything else on the table. This isn't a "the kitchen tried and it didn't land" situation, it's a "they didn't try" situation. A place already doing scratch-made ribs and sauce this well clearly has the ability to make a mac and cheese that's actually crusty, actually homemade, actually worth ordering. Serving it straight from a box instead is a simple effort they just didn't put in, and it's the one thing standing between this being a routine order and an easy five stars.

3/5. Would be a 5 for the ribs, fries, and slaw alone. Docked two full stars for the mac and cheese, since that gap feels like a choice, not a limitation.
