Sushi ala Hattori is Very Excellent

Sushi ala Hattori is really excellent. It's the sort of quality that you expect to find on the coast. They are consistently excellent, too, in a very Japanese way. The Nigiri Sushi and Maki Rolls feature very fresh fish, and the preparation can't be beat.
Very fine sushi, indeed.

First of all it, can take a lot of time to get served here at first. But..., when you do: It's good. So, of course, Sushi Ala Hattori is a bit busy at times. I ordered a box of Otokoyama dry sake. It was liberally poured over the rim into the saucer. Good choice. I started out with an oyster shooter with quail egg, ponzu vinaigrette. Then came excellent Hamachi (yellow tail). The fish portion is very large and the rice portion is small so that at the end of the meal you are not all bloated by rice. The Cailfornia Roll special with masago egg was nice. I've spent a lot of recent time in Thailand eating awesome sushi everywhere for a couple of months. This sushi is very good, indeed. Then the Albacore - Wow - great - onion crisps on top - very good taste. Then the masago (Smelt) eggs arrived with raw quail eggs on top - Yum. Unagi (Fresh water Eel) is one of my big favs that I eat like everywhere. The eel is lightly grilled and served warm - not a raw fish dish. The eel sauce was very good, very sort of sweet. Sushi Ala Hattori is quite Japanese (i. e., run by Japanese) and the sense of just how good sushi can be is right here at Sushi Ala Hattori. That was a total winner.
