Sabroso

SabrosoSabroso features American and Mediterranean-accented fine dining and bistro fare complemented by an award-winning wine list. Sabroso also offers an extensive beer and spirits selection, as well as exquisite fresh-squeezed Margaritas and other memorable cocktails.

At Sabroso, they cook on the Taos area's only wood-fired grill, using local hardwoods to prepare superior steaks, lamb and fish. Their regular menu also features vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Sabroso is housed in a historic 150-year-old adobe in the tiny village of Arroyo Seco that local reviewers have described as “possibly home to the coziest dining atmosphere in Taos.”

At Sabroso look for Starters such as: Mezze hummus and baba ghanouj served with traditional garnishes and pita triangles, Flash-Fried Calamari served with our version of honey mustard and romesco sauces, Trio of Lump Crab Cakes housemade rémoulade, Fresh Oysters half dozen/dozen - served raw, roasted with horseradish glaze, or baked Sabroso style with bacon, fresh parmigiano-reggiano and butter, Moules Marinière - traditional French bistro dish of mussels served in their shells in a broth of herbs and white wine, Braised Buffalo Short Ribs Asian sauce, Sabroso French Onion Soup - Sabroso's version of the traditional french soup - cup/bowl, Green Chile Corn Chowder - vegetarian New Mexico soup.

Sabroso's salads include: Sabroso Caesar Salad tangy anchovy-based dressing with parmigiano-reggiano garnished with whole white anchovies, Grilled Vegetable Salad served over a wedge of grilled romaine lettuce with a spicy vinaigrette, Wedge Salad crisp iceberg lettuce with gorgonzola blue cheese dressing, red onion, grape tomatoes, and frizzled proscuitto.

You're sure to enjoy one of Sabroso's Main Courses. Choose from such dishes as: Sabroso Bouillabaisse - the traditional Provençal fish stew of mussels, calamari, and other seafood in a light tomato, herb, and wine broth with crostini and saffron rouille, Vegetarian Ravioli of the Day, Wild Mushroom Farfalle Carbonara with applewood smoked bacon, cheese, egg, and cream. Available without bacon for vegetarians, Sautéed Wild Mexican Shrimp five large shrimp with Israeli couscous - also available fried - Free Range Chicken Breast - All natural, vegetarian-fed, European air-chill processed

Wood-Grilled Specialties: Filet Mignon - Eight ounce hand-cut Black Angus tenderloin with Bordelaise sauce and wild mushrooms, Rib Eye Steak - Hand-cut Black Angus steak with maître d’ butter -ten ounces, twelve ounces, and fourteen ounces, Mixed Grill - A combination of grilled items that changes daily. Ask your server about the day’s presentation for Grilled Salmon of the Day and Catch-of-the-day. Add a slice of Stilton cheese on any steak for only 3 dollars.
